The wine has an intense nose of black, blue and red fruits with dried leaves, roasted coffee and baking spices all dancing together on the nose. The palate is lush with a deeper core of black plum, dark chocolate and savory herbs, finishing with fine tannins and a pop of acidity.

A savory blend of black cherries, extra dark chocolate and underbrush wafts up from the 2020 Rosso Alanera. This is silky-smooth and quite polished in feel, with depths of wild berry fruit and citrus adding contrast. The 2020 finishes with medium length, a bit dry, yet completely satisfying. There's no need to wait here as the Rosso Veronese aims to please. This is a blend of 55% Corvina, 25% Rondinella, 10% Corvinone and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
